30, 45, or 60 seconds — which short should you post?

A short is not “as long as the platform allows.” It is as long as the joke, the tip, or the quote still feels tight.

Thirty seconds is for a single punchline or one clear step. If you need setup plus payoff, forty-five often fits better. Sixty seconds is for a mini-story: problem, moment, takeaway.
